Chapter Five: Building a Genetic Algorithm in Python

In this chapter, we will look at how we can implement a genetic algorithm in Python. We will use a simple example where we are trying to maximize the solution or output for equations. This tutorial will use a decimal representation of the genes, a one-point crossover and a mutation. This mutation is over a uniform distribution.

The figure below shows a flowchart of the genetic algorithm. You must remember that every step involved in a genetic algorithm has some variations.
